As part of efforts to ensure a seamless admission process for its newly approved Degree Programmes in affiliation with Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology (OYSCATECH), Igboora, and the Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan (FCAIB), the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has intensified engagements with key stakeholders.

A delegation led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi today, February 20, 2025, paid a Courtesy Visit to the Ogun State Director of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Mr. Hakeem AbdulHameed, to formally notify the Board about the new programmes and to seek its support in facilitating a smooth admission process.

During the visit, Prof. Akinyemi reiterated the University’s commitment to academic excellence and the strategic importance of the newly introduced programmes in expanding access to quality agricultural and technology-driven education. He also sought JAMB’s assistance in ensuring that prospective students encounter no hitches in the admission process.

Responding, JAMB’s Ogun State Director commended FUNAAB for its proactive approach assuring the University of the Board’s full support in streamlining the admission process. He emphasised JAMB’s commitment to ensuring that admissions into the new Programmes were handled efficiently with regulatory guidelines.

The newly approved Degree Programmes, which would run in partnership with OYSCATECH and FCAIB, aligned with FUNAAB’s vision of advancing agricultural education and technological innovation in Nigeria. These affiliations were expected to strengthen capacity building and produce highly skilled graduates equipped to tackle national and global agricultural challenges.
