In commemoration of World Book Day, as recognised by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the Nimbe Adedipe Library, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has announced its plans for the 2026 Annual Book Exhibition.

The exhibition, slated to run across all Colleges within the University was aimed at fostering a stronger reading culture and provide the Academic Community with access to the Library’s latest acquisitions. It would serve as a platform to showcase newly acquired books and a variety of other scholarly information resources.

According to a statement by the University Librarian, Prof. Abayomi Owolabi, the event would be officially commissioned by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde. The opening ceremony is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, and would be hosted at the College of Plant Science and Crop Production (COLPLANT).

The Annual Book Exhibition is anticipated to draw a large audience of staff, students, and other stakeholders, offering them a valuable opportunity to engage with new academic materials and reaffirm the critical role of books in teaching, learning, and research.
