The Health Information Management (HIM) Unit of the University Health Services is set to organise its first Internal Training Workshop for Health Services staff and other health data stakeholders on September 2, 2026, at the Health Services.

The One-Day workshop, themed “Strengthening Healthcare Data Protection for Better Patient Health Outcomes: A Shared Responsibility in the University System,” is aimed at promoting awareness of healthcare data protection and strengthening information management practices across the University.

The workshop would be declared open by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Babatunde Kehinde.

About 95 participants are expected from various health-related units to participate in the training, which would focus on improving knowledge and practices around healthcare data protection and management for better patient health outcomes.

Digital Certificates of Attendance would be issued to all participants at the end of the workshop.

The programme is partly sponsored by the Royal Statistical Society (RSS) Nigeria Local Group.
