The immediate past Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development) of FUNAAB, Prof. Lateef Sanni has been described as a man of great strength, who is humble, hard-working, and capable of multi-tasking, during an event held in his honour. Describing his exemplary qualities, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kolawole Salako said, “We want to thank you for your contributions to the University, and to honour you and tell you that we wish you well”.
Prof. Salako said that the University would not forget his impact, especially in his ability to win grants, for the expansion of the bakery, and the roots and tubers factory. Further extolling Prof. Sanni’s virtues were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Morenike Dipeolu; and the incumbent DVC (Development), Prof. Clement Adeofun, who said that Prof. Sanni has done very well, right from his days as the Dean, College of Food Sciences and Human Ecology (COLFHEC) till date.
The Registrar, Dr. ‘Bola Adekola, described Prof. Sanni as a very big asset to FUNAAB, while the Bursar, Mr. Chukwunwike Ezekpeazu, represented by Mrs. Aderonke Adeofun; University Librarian, Dr. Fehintola Onifade, represented by Dr. O. B. Bamigboye; Head, Directorate of Public Relations, Dr. (Mrs.) Linda Onwuka; and the Deputy Registrar II, Vice-Chancellor’s Office, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Dawodu; all described Professor Sanni as a man of humility, doggedness with the spirit of ‘everything is possible’, open to correction, and easy to work with. At the occasion, a letter of commendation was presented to the former DVC (Development), as a mark of honour for his selfless service to the University.
