The Management of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, has commiserated with the family of Engr. Oluseyi Marcus Aina, a Lecturer I in the Department of Forestry and Wildlife Management, College of Environmental Resources Management (COLERM), who died recently.
A Condolence Letter to the family, signed by the Acting Registrar, Mrs. Christiana Kuforiji, reads in part: “We received with deep sorrow, the news of the demise of Engr. Aina. We wish we could find words to ease your pain, however, we share in your grief and send you our love”. The University described his death as “irreparable”, praying the Almighty to grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss. The campus wore a mournful look penultimate Thursday as members of staff, colleagues and students of the deceased received the news of his demise. Many of them described late Engr. Aina as ‘easy going and very friendly’. Reacting to his death, the Dean of COLERM, Professor Kola Adedire, noted that “He was a lively person despite his ailment. He was very jovial and always happy. He was on his Ph.D in the Department of Agricultural Engineering, where he was working on Wood Products’ Engineering”.
Meanwhile, his remains were interred, last Tuesday at the Rest Park, Ologuneru, Ibadan, Oyo State. Late Engr. Aina, 49, was survived by his wife, Bola, a Senior Confidential Secretary to the Dean of COLENG, four children, including Pelumi, who has just gained admission into FUNAAB.
