The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has commenced measures to strengthen the coordination and management of transportation activities on the University campus.
The meeting, which was held on October 2, 2026, was attended by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Prof. Olawale Dairo, the University Transport Committee and representatives of various transport operators on campus.
The meeting focused on improving the University’s transport management system, as well as effective measures for regulating the inflow and outflow of vehicles within the campus.
Participants also discussed strategies for ensuring orderly movement of vehicles, improving traffic coordination and enhancing the overall efficiency of transportation operations across the University.
A major area of focus was the establishment of new operational targets and improved day-to-day coordination of the campus transport park to ensure a more organised and responsive transportation system.
The meeting further provided an avenue for University Management and transport operators to identify existing challenges, clarify operational responsibilities and explore practical solutions towards improving transportation services.
The meeting marked an important step towards strengthening FUNAAB’s transport management framework through regular monitoring, effective coordination and improved collaboration between the University and transport operators.
The initiative is expected to contribute to a safer, more efficient and better-coordinated transportation system within the University Community.
