The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) Entrepreneurship Intervention Training, hosted by the Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies (CENTS) at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), wrapped up on Friday, November 1, 2024.
At the closing ceremony, Prof. Emily Ayo-John, Director of CENTS, representing the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde highlighted the crucial role of entrepreneurship in tackling unemployment and driving sustainable development. He encouraged participants to fully utilise their new skills to make a positive societal impact and boost their income.
The Vice-Chancellor who commended the initiative, urged the participants to pursue further training opportunities at CENTS to enhance their professional growth. He further stated that the programme was designed to equip staff and students with vital entrepreneurial skills to navigate the current economic realities.
Expressing gratitude on behalf of his fellow participants, Mr. Charles Geteloma, Assistant Director (Graphics) from the Institute of Food Security, Environmental Resources, and Agricultural Research (IFSERAR), appreciated the University Management for organising the training and advocating for more similar initiatives in the future.
Highpoint of the closing ceremony was the presentation of certificates to all the participants, marking the successful conclusion of the TETFund Entrepreneurship Intervention Training.
The training underscored FUNAAB’s dedication to nurturing entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic development.
