The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has approved the re-appointment of the Dean, College of Biosciences (COLBIOS), Prof. Iyabode Kehinde, for a second term of office.
The re-appointment reaffirms the University’s confidence in her exemplary leadership, administrative competence, and commitment to advancing academic excellence within the College.
According to a statement issued by the Ag. Head, Directorate of Public Relations, Mr. Olasunkanmi Olajide, the approval was granted by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, following a formal recommendation by the College Board of COLBIOS, in line with the University’s established procedures for academic leadership appointments.
The statement further disclosed that the Appointment Letter was signed by the Registrar, Dr. Titus Adeniyi, while the College Board unanimously re-elected Prof. Kehinde unopposed, with 57 affirmative votes and no dissenting vote.
The renewed tenure, which took effect from April 1, 2026, would run through March 31, 2029.
The University noted that the re-appointment reiterates Management’s recognition of Prof. Kehinde’s capacity to provide strategic academic leadership, promote innovation, and sustain the growth and development of the College. It also reflects a strong endorsement of the notable achievements recorded in COLBIOS under her leadership, particularly in the areas of teaching, research, and community engagement.
