The Directorate of Grants Management (DGM), Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has called on Academic Staff in the University to take advantage of the FUNAAB’s Research Grants (FRG), for self development.
FRG is a University-based grant, conceived and fully sponsored by the institution, to challenge academics towards aggressive, cutting-edge research and grantsmanship.
A release issued by the Director, DGM, Dr. Olukayode Akinyemi, informed that the grant sum ranges between N1m and N1.5m, both in cash and aids, opened to all Academic Staff in the University.
According to the release, criteria for eligibility for FRG include the conviction that proposed Research will be multi-disciplinary, relevant to the mandates of the University as well as being of national focus and aimed at achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
Eligible researchers are expected to submit hard and soft copies of their research proposals to the DGM, stating the title of project, brief summary of project, researchers’ results and experience, background to the research project and the problems the research aims to address.
Deadline for the submission of current application has been fixed for August 13, 2012.
