The Society for Grassland Research and Development in Nigeria (SOGREDEN) has elected Prof. Jimoh Olanite of the Department of Pasture and Range Management (PRM) in the College of Animal Science and Livestock Production (COLANIM) as its President.
The election was held during the Society’s. 4th Biennial Conference held at the University of Port Harcourt, recently.
Also elected are the present Acting Head of Department, PRM, Dr. Victoria Ojo as the National Secretary, while Prof. Olufemi Onifade was elected as the Ex-officio.
With the election, the National Secretariat of the Society has been relocated to FUNAAB, as the newly elected officers ate expected to pilot the affairs of the society for the next 2 years.
