The meeting, held on March 3, 2025, was chaired by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and Chairman of the Board, Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi. Other Board members in attendance included the Head of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Dr. Oludayo Oduwole; Deputy Bursar II, Mrs. Comfort Dasaolu; and the Board Secretary, Mr. Olufemi Babatunde.
The engagement provided an opportunity for staff to share insights into the school’s operations, highlight challenges, and propose improvement solutions.
Key discussions centred on strengthening collaboration between FUNIS, FUNAAB, the PTA, and the Alumni Association, which were enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the school environment, procuring additional Desktop Computers for students and boosting the school’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
Others were securing increased support from the University Management, ensuring a stable power supply, amplifying awareness and publicity for FUNIS activities, and implementing measures to further motivate staff and students.
The meeting underscored the University’s commitment to fostering a conducive learning environment at FUNIS, with actionable strategies set in motion to address identified areas of improvement.
