The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has been pre-selected to participate in the Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises (iDICE) Project, an initiative of the Federal Government of Nigeria.
The information was contained in a Letter of Notification sent to the University and signed by the Coordinator, Special Projects, Dr. Joshua Atah, on behalf of the Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission (NUC).
The details stated that the iDICE Project was aimed at promoting investment in digital and creative industries, creating sustainable jobs for Nigerian youths.
It also stated that “As part of the evaluation process, a Team from the NUC and the Bank of Industry (BOI) would visit FUNAAB from February 11 to 13, 2025 .”
The visiting Team would assess the University’s capacity, infrastructure, and readiness to participate in the iDICE Project. The Team would also meet with the University Management, key officials, and proposed Project Implementation Unit (PIU) members to discuss the project aspects, it added.
The development is expected to enhance FUNAAB’s contribution to Nigeria’s digital and creative industries, fostering innovation and job creation among young Nigerians.
