The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is set to welcome Ms. Yan Yuqing, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Lagos, and a delegation from the Chinese Consulate tomorrow, August 12, 2025, marking an important step in enhancing bilateral cooperation between China and the University.
Scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. the visit would begin with a courtesy meeting, followed by a guided tour of the University from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Both parts of the visit are subject to flexible extensions, depending on the ongoing discussions.
Key objectives for the visit include deepening cooperation between the Chinese Consulate General and FUNAAB, promoting more seminars related to agriculture, and exploring the potential for establishing a partnership with a leading Chinese agricultural university.
The delegation comprises other distinguished individuals, that are: Mr. Xu Fan, Director of Bilateral Relations/Commercial Consul, Consulate General and Mr. Hua Yihe, CG’s Protocol Secretary.
Others are Mr. Li Zhensheng, Specially-invited Researcher, China-Africa Economic and Trade Promotion Council and Miss Su Ying, Researcher, Tax and Evaluation, China-Africa Economic and Trade Promotion Council.
