The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has added another feather to its cap, emerging second in the highly competitive 2025 Regional Quiz Competition of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) for the South-West Region.
According to a statement by the Ag. Head, Directorate of Public Relations, Mr. Olasunkanmi Olajide, the competition, held on June 24, 2025, showcased the brilliance and depth of knowledge of participating institutions, with FUNAABites standing out for their energy, enthusiasm, and intellectual dexterity.

Mr. Olajide disclosed that in a letter addressed to the University, the Registrar/Chief Executive of CIPM, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Naiwo, FCIPM, commended the FUNAAB team for their impressive performance. She described the students’ outing as a reflection of the University’s intentional and strategic approach in selecting and preparing its representatives.
He added that as part of the rewards for the University’s remarkable showing, CIPM would present FUNAAB with a commemorative plaque, as well as two editions each of the CIPM Human Resource Management Journal and People First Magazine for the University Library. Each participating student would also receive a certificate of recognition, a CIPM-branded polo shirt, and a face cap. The students are Gasali Taofeek Akorede, Adegboyega Yewande Oluwabukola and Akinola Deborah Olayinka.

CIPM expressed appreciation for FUNAAB’s participation and looked forward to the University’s continued involvement in future editions of the competition.
