The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has celebrated the outstanding performance of its athletes at the 27th Nigerian University Games Association (NUGA) Games, where the University emerged with an impressive haul of nine medals.

Held at the University of Jos, Plateau State, from November 5 to 16, 2025, the Games featured over 90 universities competing across various sports. Rising to the occasion, FUNAAB athletes secured one Gold, three Silver, and five Bronze medals, placing the University in 36th position overall.
FUNAAB’s points were earned across several sports categories, with the Athletics (Track & Field) team contributing 7 points from the male athletes and 1 point from the female athletes.

In Taekwondo, the male team added 3 points, while the Tennis events saw the male team secure 3 points and the female team 2 points. The Squash teams also delivered strong performances, with both male and female athletes scoring 4 points each, and the Table Tennis male team contributing an additional 2 points to the overall tally.
