The students were nominated by Prof. Oluwakemi Irekhore, an Animal Nutritionist and the Ogun State Chairperson of the Association of Organic Agriculture Practitioners of Nigeria (NOAN), in response to a national call for youth representatives. Her nominations were based on merit and active interest in sustainable agricultural development. Notably, two of the nominees are student members of NOAN.
