FUNAAB Students Selected for National Dialogue on Inclusive Food Systems

Three outstanding students from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) have been selected to participate in the National Young People’s Dialogue on Inclusive Food Systems, a high-level programme organised by ActionAid Nigeria, scheduled to hold in Abuja from tomorrow, May 13 to 15, 2025.

The students were nominated by Prof. Oluwakemi Irekhore, an Animal Nutritionist and the Ogun State Chairperson of the Association of Organic Agriculture Practitioners of Nigeria (NOAN), in response to a national call for youth representatives. Her nominations were based on merit and active interest in sustainable agricultural development. Notably, two of the nominees are student members of NOAN.

The students departed today, May 12, 2025, for Abuja via the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Terminal 2, Lagos, and are expected to return to campus on May 16, 2025.

The laudable representation reflected FUNAAB’s continued commitment to empowering young scholars and promoting inclusive, youth-led contributions to the transformation of Nigeria’s food systems.
