… Constitutes Committee on the Landmark Celebration
The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has commenced preparations for its 40th Anniversary celebration, scheduled to hold in January 2028, following the approval of a planning committee by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde.
The Committee, chaired by Prof. Adeniyi Olayanju of the College of Engineering (COLENG), has Mr. Olajide Oduyemi of the Senate and Admissions Unit serving as Secretary. Membership comprises representatives drawn from strategic units across the University to ensure a broad-based and successful planning process.
According to the terms of reference, the Committee is expected to develop and coordinate a comprehensive programme of activities for the successful celebration of the University’s 40th Anniversary. It was also mandated to prepare an implementation plan, timeline and budget for the anniversary activities, while identifying possible sources of funding and sponsorship.
In addition, the Committee would recommend the theme, branding and publicity strategy for the celebration and oversee all media and promotional activities. It would also identify and produce commemorative publications and other documentation highlighting the University’s achievements over the past four decades.
