FUNAAB to Host 106th Inaugural Lecture, October 29

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is set to hold its 106th Inaugural Lecture on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the Prof. Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building. The event would commence at 2:00 p.m., with guests expected to be seated by 1:30 p.m.

The Lecture, titled “The Silent Voice: Recognizing and Relieving Pain in Animals for Better Welfare,” would be delivered by Prof. Adetola Rasheed Ajadi, a distinguished scholar in Veterinary Surgery from the Department of Veterinary Surgery and Theriogenology, College of Veterinary Medicine (COLVET).

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, would serve as the Chief Host and Chairman of the occasion.

Members of the University Community, scholars, Veterinarians,
Animal Scientists, and the general public are cordially invited to attend this intellectually stimulating Lecture, which promises to shed new light on animal welfare and pain management in veterinary practice.
