The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), through the College of Computing Sciences (COLCOMPS), is set to host the 2026 Celebration of Women in IT (CWIT ’26) from Wednesday, September 9 to Thursday, September 10, 2026, at the Green Chamber.
Themed “Bridging the Gender Gap in Computing,” the Two-Day event aims to promote greater participation, visibility and inclusion of women and girls in Information Technology and the broader computing ecosystem.
Sponsored by the Association for Computing Machinery Women
(ACM-W) and organised by the ACM-W Ibadan Nigeria Professional Chapter in collaboration with COLCOMPS, FUNAAB.
Through CWIT ’26, FUNAAB is expected to further encourage women and girls to pursue careers in computing, showcase innovative solutions and strengthen their representation across the technology ecosystem.
