The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), in collaboration with the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) and Ajogbe Food, is set to host a 2-Day Project Wrap-Up and Knowledge Sharing Workshop on the UK UWS-FUNAAB-AJOGBE AAKTP Research Project titled “Developing Cost-Effective Feeds from Locally Available Crop Residues and Agricultural By-products for Livestock in Southwest Nigeria.”
Funded by Innovate UK, the research project was designed to strengthen academia–industry partnerships towards enhancing sustainable livestock feed production in Nigeria. The collaboration focuses on exploring the potential of crop residues and agricultural by-products to develop affordable, nutritive, and locally sourced feed alternatives for livestock farmers.
According to a memo released by the Principal Investigator, Prof. Adebayo Shittu, the event is scheduled to hold from Thursday November 13 to Friday 14, November 2025 , at the Centre of Excellence in Agricultural Development and Sustainable Environment (CEADESE) Conference Room, beginning at 10:00 a.m. daily.
The Vice-Chancelloru, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, would serve as the Chief Host, while the Director, CEADESE, Prof. Adeboye Fafiolu, would serve as the Host.
