The Department of Food Science and Technology (FST), Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), is set to induct its 2024/2025 graduating students as Professional Members of the Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFST).
The ceremony, which marks the third edition of the annual professional induction series introduced in January 2024, is scheduled to be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the Postgraduate School Auditorium, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
According to a memo signed by the Head of Department, Prof. Olatundun Kajihausa, a total of eighty (80) fresh graduates who have met the Institute’s stipulated requirements would be formally inducted into the professional body.
The event is expected to serve as a platform to celebrate academic excellence and professional preparedness among the graduating students, while also deepening the collaborative relationship between the Department and NIFST in advancing Food Science education and practice in Nigeria.
Industry stakeholders, Researchers and members of the University Community are expected to grace the occasion in honour of the new inductees.
