The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is poised to deepen its international academic reach through a research collaboration with the University of the Bundeswehr Munich (UNIBW.M.) in Germany.
In a statement by the Deputy Registrar II, Vice-Chancellor’s Office, Mr. Moses Ayanda, it was disclosed that a delegation from UNIBW.M. would visit the University between Tuesday, October 15, and Friday, October 18, 2024.
The statement further stated that the German delegation is expected to pay a Courtesy Visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, by noon at the Vice-Chancellor’s Conference Room before commencing their activities in the University.
Meanwhile, the Vice-Chancellor has expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, noting that it would further boost FUNAAB’s global standing and foster innovative solutions in agriculture and related fields. He also underscored the importance of international collaborations in tackling the multifaceted challenges confronting the agricultural sector.
The partnership is expected to open new avenues for knowledge exchange, joint research efforts, and academic growth in areas such as agricultural innovation, environmental sustainability, and engineering.
