The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, today, April 11, 2025, led members of the Governing Council of the Federal University of Medicine and Medical Sciences, Abeokuta (FUMMSA), on a strategic tour of key facilities within FUNAAB.
The tour, designed to showcase the Universityโs infrastructural, academic, and administrative capacities, was part of efforts to support the seamless take-off of the newly established medical university.
The FUMMSA delegation was taken through several landmark facilities, including the Prof. Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building, Elias Bogoro Twin Lecture Theatre, and the iconic Wole Soyinka Library. Other notable facilities visited were the University Health Centre, FUNAAB Sports Centre, and the Pro-Chancellor, Chancellor, and Vice-Chancellorโs Lodges.
The team also visited the Cassava and Poultry Innovations (CAPI) Centre, student hostel blocks, the state-of-the-art 3MW Hybrid Solar Power Plant, as well as the laboratories at the Centre of Excellence in Agricultural Development and Sustainable Environment (CEADESE).
Reiterating FUNAABโs commitment to inter-institutional collaboration, Prof. Kehinde assured the FUMMSA Governing Council of FUNAAB’s unwavering support in providing infrastructural access, academic resources, and technical expertise to aid the smooth take-off, growth, and long-term development of the medical university.
