Prof. Subuola Fasoyiro, a distinguished Professor of Food Science and Technology at the Institute of Agricultural Research and Training (IAR&T), Obafemi Awolowo University, Ibadan, is set to deliver the 13th Commencement Lecture of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) during the University’s 2025/2026 Matriculation Ceremony.

The Commencement Lecture, titled “Future Leaders of Character in Agriculture: Building Capacity Today for National and Global Impact Tomorrow,” would hold on November 19, 2025, at the Prof. Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building by 9:00 a.m.

A renowned scholar and researcher, Prof. Fasoyiro has made remarkable contributions to food processing, product development, food safety, and preservation. Her pioneering work has greatly advanced food and nutrition security in Nigeria and across Africa. She has also served as Head of the Product Development Programme at IAR&T and was on sabbatical at Bowen University, Iwo, on one occasion.

The combined event would not only herald the beginning of a new academic session but also serve as a platform to inspire students towards excellence, integrity, and innovation.
