Three outstanding graduates from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) have made history by successfully passing the prestigious Membership Examination of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) in the United Kingdom.
Reacting to the feat, the Dean, College of Veterinary Medicine (COLVET), Prof. Lawrence Ajayi, expressed pride in this remarkable achievement, attributing it to the exceptional quality of FUNAAB’s Veterinary Programme.
He noted that passing the highly challenging RCVS examination has historically been a major hurdle for veterinarians seeking to practice in the UK.
Prof. Ajayi stated further that the trailblazing graduates are Dr. Seyi Aduloju (DVM, FUNAAB 2010), Dr. Ebenezer Akinlabi (DVM, FUNAAB 2013), and Dr. Jude Ale (DVM, FUNAAB 2014). The Dean stressed that their success qualifies them to practice as Veterinary Surgeons across the United Kingdom.
This achievement, according to Prof. Ajayi, underscores the excellence of the College of Veterinary Medicine in FUNAAB and reflects positively on Nigeria’s veterinary community, showcasing FUNAAB’s commitment to producing world-class professionals.
