In recognition of outstanding academic excellence and to encourage scholastic distinction, the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta International School (FUNIS) has honoured Master Kehinde Daniel Oluwatimilehin as the “One Day Principal” today, February 11, 2025, after he emerged as the Best-Performing JSS 1 student in the last term. He achieved a remarkable feat by securing 18 A’s in all 18 subjects.

The “One Day Principal” initiative at FUNIS was designed to celebrate academic excellence, foster leadership skills, and motivate other students to strive for outstanding performance. Speaking on the initiative, the Principal, Mr. Olusola Ilori, stated that Master Kehinde’s exceptional achievement deserved recognition, prompting the school to bestow upon him the privilege of leading as Principal for a day.

As part of the honour, Master Kehinde was entrusted with overseeing the school’s activities and programmes for the day, experiencing firsthand the responsibilities of leadership.

In his remarks, the young scholar attributed his success to the grace of God and hard work. He encouraged his classmates to remain diligent, emphasising that success comes through preparation, perseverance, and divine favour.
