The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) International School (FUNIS) and the FUNAAB Staff School have announced plans to celebrate academic excellence, exemplary character and outstanding achievements through their annual Prize-Giving Ceremonies scheduled for later this month.
FUNIS would hold its 20th Speech and Prize-Giving Ceremony alongside the 17th Valedictory Service on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the PTA Auditorium, FUNIS.
According to an invitation signed by the Principal of the School, Mr. Olusola Ilori, the event would feature prize presentations, speeches and a Valedictory Service in honour of the graduating students.
Similarly, the FUNAAB Staff School, Isolu, would host its 2026 Prize-Giving Ceremony on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the School compound in Alabata, Abeokuta.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, would attend as the Father of the Day, while Mr. Ebenezer Ewulo, Surveyor-General of Ogun State, Bureau of Lands and Survey, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, would serve as the Chairman of the Day. Prof. Temitope Ajadi, Chairperson of the FUNAAB Ceremonials Committee, would grace the occasion as the Mother of the Day.
Also expected at the event is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and Chairman of the FUNAAB Schools’ Management Board, Prof. Olusegun Idowu, who would serve as the Chief Host, while Rotarian Kazeem Alabi, Immediate Past President of the Rotary Club of Obantoko, Abeokuta, District 9110 Nigeria, would attend as the Special Guest of Honour.
Meanwhile, both ceremonies are expected to inspire pupils and students to continue striving for excellence as they advance in their academic and personal pursuits.
