In readiness for the resumption of students from their mid-Third Term break on Sunday, June 15, 2025, the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta International School (FUNIS) has commenced beautification of its main gate area, which is now wearing a refreshing new look.
The ongoing transformation was part of a horticultural landscaping project aimed at enhancing the aesthetics of the school environment and creating a more welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors. The rejuvenation effort included the planting of ornamental shrubs, flowers, and the redesign of green spaces to align with the institution’s commitment to promoting environmental excellence.
According to the Principal, Mr. Olusola Ilori, he appreciated the efforts of the University Management, led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde for the initiative in transforming the school gate, noting that it also reflected the proactive approach of FUNIS in maintaining a clean and attractive learning environment while instilling a culture of environmental care in students.
As the students return, they are expected to meet a more vibrant and inspiring entrance that reinforces the school’s values of excellence, discipline, and innovation.
