The tour which lasted about four hours, took the Vice-Chancellor to Nimbe Adedipe Library, Information and Communication Technology Resource Centre (ICTREC), 500 Computer Laboratory and Centre for Internationalization and Partnership (CENIP).
During the exercise, the Vice-Chancellor discovered to his amazement, offices and furniture that were either lying fallow or underutilized at a detached office complex adjacent to CENIP main office.
Ironically, at ICTREC, the Vice-Chancellor was not comfortable with congestion, occasioned by the choking of staff and students using the small facilities therein.
He was also not comfortable by inadequate office space, furniture and underutilization of GTB ICT Training Centre.

Besides, the Vice-Chancellor also allocated another spacious facility at (ISRC) to the newly created centre for advancement to use as its office.
He tasked the Director of the Centre, Dr. Taofeek Salisu, who received him therein to move in and occupy the office complex immediately.
At ‘Nimbe Adedipe Library, the Vice-Chancellor expressed his disappointment at a particular staff (not in the Library) for failing to fix an installation therein.
He disclosed that the lack luster approach of the staff to the installation is about depriving the University a huge endowment of a portion of the Library by a renowned industrialist.
Professor Oyewole warned the said staff to prepare to face the music, should the philanthropist divert his gesture to another University as he’s currently threatening.
At 2,500 Computer Laboratory where the Vice-Chancellor and a senior staff in the Directorate of Works and Services expressed reservations over furniture and fittings, Professor Oyewole directed the Works and Services Department to put the laboratory in good shape not later than Wednesday this week, preparatory to the commencement of the first semester examination.
