Postgraduate students of the University have won the largest share of this year’s Indomie National Post Graduate Scholarship Award by winning 8 out of the 12 slots of the scholarship Award. The scholarship, which was introduced in 2009 by Dufil Prima Food Plc, is to encourage Postgraduate students studying Nutrition and Dietetics and assist in the training of high level Nutritionists that would provide the needed manpower for the relevant sector in the country.
The Public Relations Manager, Dufil Prima Plc, Tope Ashiwaju, said that the eight postgraduate students of the University have received N350,000.00 to cover tuition, educational grant and monthly stipends, adding that the financial support to students studying Nutrition and Dietetics at the postgraduate level would produce a critical mass of highly-trained nutritionists that would drive development in the sector.
