A former victim of human trafficking, founder of Enitan Story and the Producer of Imprisoned Show, Ms. Bukola Oriola, would begin Human Trafficking Awareness Tour of Higher Institutions, which would be berthing in the University on Monday, September 14, 2015 at the FUNAAB Ceremonial Building, beginning at 2pm.

During the tour, she is expected to share her real life experience through a motivational talk show tagged, “Bringing the Story Back Home”, that would showcase events on “Human Trafficking: The Dehumanising Fate of Nigerians Living in or Visiting America and Europe”. Ms. Toriola, a United States of America-based motivational speaker, was a recipient of the 2009 Minnesota Women’s Press Change Maker Award and has been using her organisation and series of television programmes to rehabilitate victims of human trafficking, as well as educate members of the public on the social problem.

The author of the celebrated book, “Imprisoned: The Travails of A Trafficked Victim (Her True Life Story)”, she was among the 20 survivors selected in January 2014 by the Department of Justice to participate in a Survivors’ Forum at the White House, an event organised by the Office for Victims of Crime Training and Technical Assistance Centre (OVCTTAC), in commemoration of the National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention’s month in the USA. Ms. Oriola has participated in over 100 public presentations, seminars and had been granted approval by Nigeria’s Federal Agency; the National Agency for the Prohibition of Traffic in Persons (NAPTIP), to create awareness aimed at putting an end to human trafficking.
