The University’s Institute of Food Security, Environmental Resources and Agricultural Research (IFSERAR), has called on members of the University community, to submit Memoranda towards the development of its Strategic Plan.

The Strategic Plan is required, to drive the institute’s Research and Developmental (R&D) activities for the next five years, 2012 to 2016.

A release, signed by the Chairman, IFSERAR’s Strategic Plan Committee, Prof. V.I.O Olowe, asked that the Memoranda should address the mandates of IFSERAR, which include, Organizational Structure, Resources (Human, Physical and Financial), Research programmes, among others.

The Memoranda should be directed to the Committee’s Secretary, Dr. I. O. Vaughan (IFSERAR), or through his e-mail address: vaughan_iov@yahoo.com, not later than Friday, November 18, 2011.

The release further reiterated that the Institute currently operates eight Programmes, namely, Agricultural Mechanization and Energy Research; Aquaculture and Fisheries Production Research; Biosciences Research and Crop Production Research.

Others are, Environmental Resources and Conservation Research; Food Security and Socio-Economic Research; Food and Nutrition Research and the Livestock Production Research.
