The Institute of Food Security, Environmental Resources and Agricultural Research (IFSERAR), today, January 7, 2026, held its New Year Prayer Meeting at the Institute’s building.
In his remarks, the Director, IFSERAR, Prof. Kazeem Bello, emphasised the need for unity among staff, describing love, cooperation and mutual respect as essential ingredients for institutional growth. He cautioned against internal conflicts, noting that they impede progress, and urged staff to remain focused on collective goals.

Prof. Bello further described the Institute as being “on a moving train,” stressing the expectation for staff to deliver tangible and impactful results. He also highlighted ongoing agricultural activities within the Institute, disclosing that livestock projects and maize cultivation have commenced, with some harvests already recorded.
The prayer meeting concluded with a charge by the Institute’s Secretary, Mr. Samson Adeniran, who called for sustained collaboration, dedication and commitment among staff as the Institute continues its journey of growth, innovation and testimony-driven progress.
