The Institute of Food Security, Environmental Resources and Agricultural Research (IFSERAR) would on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, hold its July 2026 Monthly Seminar at the IFSERAR Laboratory, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The seminar, titled “Harnessing the Biopesticidal Potential of Selected Botanical Extracts Against African Rice Gall Midge,” would be delivered by Dr. Busola Ayangbemi. The presentation would explore the potential of selected botanical extracts as environmentally sustainable biopesticides for the effective management of the African Rice Gall Midge. This destructive pest poses a significant threat to rice production.

According to a memo issued by the Director of IFSERAR, Prof. Kazeem Bello, members of the University Community, including Deans, Directors of Academic Centres, researchers, staff, and students, are encouraged to attend the seminar.
