Members of the FUNAAB Igbo Community (FIC), have celebrated the end-of-the-year with thanksgiving. The chairman of the community, Prof. Godfrey Ezeri of the Department of Aquaculture and Fisheries Management, College of Environmental Resources Management (COLERM) said that it was a good thing for brothers and sisters to come together.
Prof. Ezeri thanked everyone present for their contributions towards making the day a success and charged all to always be of good behaviour. Dr. Onyekwere Nwaorgu of the Department of Communication and General Studies, College of Agricultural Management and Rural Development (COLAMRUD), gave a brief history of FIC from inception till date, as he prayed that God would take members to higher levels and cement the bond of unity among them.
Plaques of honour were presented to members who have distinguished themselves in service to FUNAAB and humanity, reached the peak of their careers, as well as for long service. The awardees include Prof. Godfrey Ezeri, Prof. Chryss Onwuka, Prof. Christian Ikeobi, Prof. Gideon Ufoegune, Prof. Ikechukwu James, and Dr. (Mrs.) Linda Onwuka. Others are the University Bursar, Mr. Chukwunwike Ezekpeazu; Prof. Onyekwere Nwaorgu; Mrs. Victoria Nwachukwu; Mr. Felix Madubuko; and Mrs. Lovinnah Nwalangwa.
