As part of measures to curb the menace of illegal parking of vehicles in prohibited areas on Campus, the Environmental Management Unit (EMU) has deflated the tyres of eight (8) vehicles in the last two weeks.

The Head of Environmental Unit and Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the University, Mr. Bolarinwa Peter disclosed this to FUNAAB Bulletin.

He informed that deflation of tyres of vehicles parked illegally at prohibited portion of the campus is to serve as punitive measure to members of the University Community and visitors who flagrantly disregard warning signposts, as well as to serve as deterrent to others.

Mr. Peter reiterated the commitment of Environmental Unit to the ongoing efforts at ensuring  strict compliance with environmental management directive, warning against illegal parking of vehicles, saying his men are everywhere on campus to deflate tyres of violators.

Meanwhile, the University Management has observed with utmost displeasure the new trend of indiscriminate parking of vehicles along the Ceremonial Road and has called on erring vehicle owners to desist from such act.

Consequently, Management wishes to admonishe members of staff to ensure strict adherence to the directive.
