Dear Content Contributor,

The recent health challenge, caused by the EBOLA viral disease in some West African countries like Liberia, Sierra-Leone, Guinea and Nigeria, is now gaining popularity and arousing discussions day-by-day in America, Europe and the rest of the world. I think there is the need to educate ourselves on this important issue. Interestingly, today’s edition of TIME newspaper had published on its website, the good news that Nigeria is Ebola-Free: Here’s What They Did Right. Notwithstanding, there is still the need to share with the members of FUNAAB community,  useful information on EBOLA, which was retrieved from a repository called SUPERCOURSE, developed by the University of Pittsburgh, USA.

What is Supercourse?

Supercourse is a repository of lectures on global health and prevention, designed to improve the teaching of prevention measures. Supercourse has a network of over 56,000 scientists in 174 countries, who share a free library of about 5,750 lectures in 31 languages. The Supercourse has been produced at the World Health Organisation (WHO) Collaborating Centre, University of Pittsburgh, with core developers such as Ronald LaPorte, Ph.D., Faina Linkov, Ph.D. and Eugene Shubnikov, M.D. Read more

However, apart from the useful information on the EBOLA viral disease, a lot can also be gained from this Supercourse repository, which is loaded with many rich e-resources. It is our belief that our scholars can also make some contributions like other researchers on this repository, which will eventually increase our visibility in the academia.

Thank you.
