The Director of the Institute for Human Resources Development (INHURD), University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (UNAAB), Dr. Taofiq Salisu has called the newly-admitted students to brace up for hardwork as there are no short cuts to achieving academic success.

Speaking at the Institute’s 4th Orientation Programme, held at its Permanent Site for Pre-Degree and Foundation Science Programme students of the University, Dr. Salisu disclosed that as part of requisition for Pre-degree students to be eligible for admission into the University’s degree Programme, they must perform satisfactorily in the University and Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), Post-UTME and Pre-Degree examinations.

He assured the students that the Institute had put the necessary machinery in motion to ensure that nothing short of success was realized, both the internal and external examinations.

Dr. Salisu added that the Institute was equipped with a-500 seater Library; qualified personnel in the Guidance and Counseling Unit; Academic Planning; and Records Unit that could advise students on the choice of course or career to pursue.

Dr. Salisu noted that the Pre-Degree Programme, which is as old as the University had produced notable personalities in various disciplines, including two Professors in the University.
