… Signs MoU

The Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB), is poised to establish a collaboration focused on the development of livestock and the food value chain with the Institute of Agricultural Research for Development (IRAD).
During the official signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two prospective partners, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde expressed his satisfaction and preparedness for the collaboration.
Prof. Kehinde assured IRAD of FUNAAB’s commitment, saying, “We are eager to unite with this promising alliance,” as he emphasised the University’s dedication to ensuring a fruitful and successful relationship.
He highlighted FUNAAB’s ample human and material resources available to train students across various domains, expressing confidence that participants would bring honour to the University through their training.
While expressing his hope that the MoU would mark the beginning of more extensive collaborations, Prof. Kehinde welcomed additional partnerships in research proposals and other promising opportunities.
Earlier, Prof. Francis Ngome, Deputy Director-General of IRAD, acknowledged the warm reception extended to him and his team by the Vice-Chancellor, noting that it reflected positively on FUNAAB.
He disclosed that the choice of FUNAAB for collaboration was based on careful consideration of facts and figures, not random selection.
Stressing IRAD’s meticulous approach, he mentioned that as the largest institution in Central Africa, they are thorough in their dealings.
Commending FUNAAB, Prof. Ngome highlighted his team’s firsthand experience of the University’s state-of-the-art facilities acquired over the years during their visits to various parts of the campus.
