In a display of generosity, a Professor in the University’s Department of Aquaculture and Fisheries Management (AQ&FM), Samuel Otubusin, in conjunction with six of his final-year project students, have donated a Fish Hatchery and Nursery Flow-Through System to their Department.
According to Professor Otubusin, who is a specialist in Aquaculture Systems’ Bio-Engineering, Fisheries Management and Economics, the Hatchery is ideal for experimental research, both for undergraduate and postgraduate students, while the Flow-Through System consists of 24 circular concrete tanks that has a capacity for 1,000 fingerlings each. The project was designed, supervised, installed and co-funded by him.
Professor Otubusin named the six final year students, who participated in making the project a reality as: Badmus Suliat, Dada Christiana, George Oluwafunmilayo, Adebayo Monsura, Ogunyomade Modupeola and Adeniji Ahmed.
