The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the First National Symposium on Greenhouse Cultivation in Nigeria has paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, as part of preparations for the maiden edition of the symposium.

The visit, held today, September 9, 2026, was aimed at briefing the Vice-Chancellor on the progress of preparations and expressing appreciation for the University’s institutional support towards the successful hosting of the national event.

Earlier, the Committee convened to assess the University’s level of readiness and review arrangements for the symposium, scheduled to hold from October 21 to 23, 2026, at FUNAAB.

The symposium is expected to bring together researchers, practitioners, policymakers and other stakeholders to share knowledge, innovations and best practices in greenhouse cultivation, while exploring opportunities for advancing controlled-environment agriculture in Nigeria.
