Pre-Degree Programme

The Pre-degree Programme is a full-time pre-matriculation training designed to prepare students for various degree programmes of the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta and indirectly for JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) by running courses in five subjects, which are English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
The requirements for admission into the Pre-degree are credits in SSCE/GCE Ordinary Level Examination (in not more than two sittings) in Chemistry, English language, and Mathematics, Biology or Agricultural Science and Physics.
The students’ intensive training is handled by regular staff of the University. The components of the programme are lectures, laboratory practicals and tutorials. The students are finally assessed through internally conducted Continuous Assessment Tests (CATs) during semesters and main examinations at the end of each semester.
