The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Professor Olusola Bandele Oyewole has charged the newly-matriculated students to make use of the approved walkways, in order to keep the campus clean.

The Vice-Chancellor disclosed this last week, during the Matriculation Ceremony of the  newly admitted students for the 2012/2013 Academic Session, held at the 2,000 capacity Professor Mahmood Yakubu Lecture Theatre.

Professor Oyewole said that the slogan now in FUNAAB is, “Cross the lawn and go back home”, adding that the students should make use of the designated comfort stations, while they should also avoid indiscriminate pasting of materials on the University facilities”.

The Vice-Chancellor stated that FUNAAB has resolved more than ever before to keep its environment clean and green with beautiful sights to behold.

His words, “As you are aware, a pleasant and green environment contributes in no small measure to the psychological disposition of students, which allows for a proper learning process”.

He, however, sounded a note of caution to the entire students that the University will not tolerate any form of immoral and provocative mode of dressing within the Campus, adding that it is the Management’s expectation that every student who passes through FUNAAB becomes a total ‘man’ in every facet of life.
