The University Management has commended Staff and Students Unions in the University for being partners in progress.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olusola Bandele Oyewole gave the commendation while showing appreciation to the National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT) for donating precious books to the University.

Speaking after receiving the donation at the maiden edition of NAAT family Re-Union, held at Tony Anenih Hall, Professor Oyewole described the Union gesture as a welcome development.

He said that “the Unions we have in the University are unique. They are partners in progress. For this gesture, we are extremely grateful to NAAT”.

“I also want to thank ASUU, SSANU, NASU and FUNAABSU for the positive role you are playing. The Management I must say is not worried by the activities of the Unions because they are positives”, he added.

The Vice-Chancellor charged the Unions not to rest on their oars, saying that the Management needs more of their positive contributions, especially now that the University is celebrating her 25th Anniversary.

He specifically charged NAAT to use its expertise to develop the University, reiterating the commitment of the Management to bettering the lots of staff and students of the Institution.
