The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun, has expressed his felicitations and good wishes on the occasion of the yuletide to the entire members of the University Community. In the message made available to FUNAAB Bulletin, Professor Balogun urged community members to celebrate with moderation while taking time to reflect on the essence of the season. According to the Vice-Chancellor, the society will be better off, if people could imbibe the humble and selfless virtues of Jesus Christ in all their official and private dealings. The Vice-Chancellor also reminded community members of the need to extend love to others, with a resolve to offer support to the less-privileged members of the society. While expressing gratitude to staff and students, as well as other stakeholders, for their support and cooperation in the outgoing year, Professor Balogun enjoined them to approach Year 2012 with a renewed determination of personal commitment towards raising the bar of excellence of the institution. The Vice-Chancellor then prayed that the New Year will usher in a vista of unparalleled prosperity to both the institution and community members. |
