UNAAB CEREMONIAL ROAD: Contractor commenced work early this morning
Members of the University Community will soon heave a sigh of relief on the deplorable condition of the University’s Ceremonial Road, as the Management has awarded the contract for its reconstruction.
The reconstruction has been awarded to Oriental Femab Amimike Quarry and Construction Company Limited, at a Tender’s Board meeting, held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010.
According to the Management, the contract term for the award, stipulates that the reconstruction will be completed within twelve weeks and the contractor is expected to move to site next week.
However, the University Management has commended members of the University Community for their perseverance, resilience and understanding for the hardship they endured, plying the deplorable road.
It would be recalled that the road became more damaged, due to increased traffic and pressure from heavy-duty trucks, servicing the massive projects’ construction on Campus.
