The Managing Director of the UNAAB Microfinance Bank Limited, Mr. Abimbola Adewale, has disclosed that the bank was fully prepared to offer interesting services and products to its existing and intending customers. The MD gave the assurance recently, saying the vision of the bank was to be a first class microfinance bank in Nigeria, delivering quality service towards poverty alleviation and wealth creation and that the introduction of Automated Teller Machine (ATM) was one of the innovations in the bank.

He highlighted other mouth-watering customer packages to include Future Leaders Account, Special Purpose Target Account, Growing Business Account, Instant Salary Advance, Microlease, Group Loan Account and Blue Chip Account. Mr. Adewale advised interested and prospective members of the University community to walk freely into the bank to pick a form for any of the packages, promising that customers would be attended to promptly and timely. He appreciated the existing customers of the bank and called on new customers to open an account while account re-activation fee, which used to be N2,500, is now free. The Managing Director noted that the bank was planning to establish additional branches outside the University campus, as part of its 2014-2018 Strategic Business Plan, as he assured all customers that better financial services would be provided for them by their seasoned and committed staff.

He attributed the success recorded by the bank to the ingenuity and vision-driven Board of Directors, as he commended the board for supporting the bank’s management to effect necessary changes, which had paid-off with the bank achieving 61 per cent of the set profit target as at May, this year. “The current Management has come to agree with the vision of the Board of Directors and we have agreed to work together that we must make that change now. That change is what you observed as improved services, which is the function of the support received from the Board”, he said.
