BIO-DATA
Miss. JACOB JulianahModupe, is a Laboratory Technologist in the Animal Biotechnology Laboratory, Biotechnology Centre, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. Her proposed area of research is Nanotechnology, Drug delivery and Forensic Science. Julianah was born in Ijero-Ekiti, Ekiti State and hail from Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government, Delta State, Nigeria. She obtained her National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in 2004 and 2006 respectively, from the Institute of Science Laboratory Technology, Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria. She later
obtained Bachelor degree in 2014 from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. She began her career at Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria in 2008 in the Department of Chemistry where she was handling the student’s practical classes. In September, 2010, she left for the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) where she continued hercareer as a Laboratory Technologist. She had attended trainings both within and outside the University to enhance her job skill. She is a hardworking and a highly industrious young lady, who has wider practical knowledge on Biotechnology and Chemical analysis due to her training and working experience as a trained laboratory Technologist in the Biotechnology centre, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta in the Animal genome analysis laboratory where she handles and train students on the following: (i) Preparation of reagents for laboratory use. (ii) Extraction of DNA, RNA and Protein from Animal tissue and blood samples. (iii) PCR- Analysis (Amplification of DNA and RNA with the aid of PCR machine).(iv) Separation of protein sample by SDS-PAGE gel electrophoresis (v) Quantification of DNA, RNA and protein sample with the aid of Nano drop machine.etc. She had helped many students and researchers from in and outside the University to successfully carry out their genomic analysis in which majority of the works were been published. As the leader of the personnel in the Animal Biotechnology Laboratory, she had contributed immensely to the development of the Animal Biotechnology Laboratory and developed many of the techniques currently in use in the Laboratory. She is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology.
