The Senior Chief Medical Records Officer and Head of the Medical Records Unit at FUNAAB Health Services, Mr. Mohammed-Rabiu Salihu, has been conferred with the Innovative Head Data Management Award by the Association of Health Records and Information Management Practitioners of Nigeria (AHRIMPN), Ogun State Chapter.
The prestigious recognition was bestowed during the 2025 Health Information Professionals (HIP) Week, a global event themed “Celebrating the Heroes of Health Information.”
Mr. Salihu was lauded for designing and deploying Healthcare Data Management and Analytics (HDMA) tools that have revolutionised healthcare data usage by transforming raw data into actionable insights for improved healthcare delivery. His innovative strides were also recently acknowledged by the staff of the Information and Communication Technology Resource Centre (ICTREC), where he demonstrated the HDMA tools at the invitation of the Ag. Director, Mr. Temitope Soretire.

In a related development, Mr. Olugbenga Fashina of the Directorate of University Farms (DUFARMS) has been elected President of the Anglican Grammar School, Okenla, Ifo Old Students’ Association (AGSOSA).
Unopposed in the election, Mr. Fashina secured the unanimous support of 120 accredited delegates. During his campaign, he unveiled a five-point agenda which included restoring members’ confidence, expanding the association’s membership by reaching out to unregistered alumni sets, beautifying the school’s environment, exploring investment opportunities to boost funding, and supporting indigent students through mentorship and scholarships.
Mr. Fashina pledged to fulfil his campaign promises and work diligently towards the advancement of AGSOSA and its stakeholders.
