MyCliq, a fintech company dedicated to simplifying payment processes using QR code technology, phone number-linked payments, and Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), has partnered with the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) to automate the payment system for MANCOT buses.
The collaboration was aimed at streamlining payments for students and staff using the MANCOT buses, ensuring a hassle-free experience. Through MyCliq, users would not only be able to make payments for transportation, but also seamlessly book bus rides, pay bills, transfer funds, and purchase event tickets.
While branding one of the buses, MyCliq’s Team Lead, Mr. Tobi Olosode, an alumnus of FUNAAB, emphasised the app’s role in promoting transparency and efficiency in the FUNAAB Bureau of Transportation (FUNAABOT)’s fare remittance process. According to him, the innovative scan-and-pay feature would automate fare collection for MANCOT buses, boosting accountability and ease of use for all commuters.
The partnership represented a major step towards enhancing convenience and transparency in transportation at FUNAAB.
